The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing general ledger activities, month-end close, and financial
reporting across multiple entities within a shared services environment. This role supports the preparation of
stand-alone and consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS, and delivers timely
and accurate financial information to both local management and the parent company. The position requires
strong analytical capabilities, ownership of balance sheet integrity, and the ability to provide meaningful variance
explanations and reporting to support executive decision-making.
What you will do
• Maintain the General Ledger by analyzing, reconciling, and recording journal entries in accordance with GAAP—
responsibilities include all closing, trend analysis, GL account reconciliation, and supporting the team with
Maintaining chart of accounts setup and maintenance in Oracle. Close various G/L books,
review various consolidations, and prepare and record elimination entries. Review and validate the EOM
upload file to the parent company.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for internal and parent companies. This includes
supporting our tax, financial, and compliance teams. Oversee subledger transactions in the GL and
maintain the GL with minimal reconciling items.
• Support the Controller with ad hoc reports and actively work on Consolidation reporting. Actively support
and be part of the consolidation team to expedite deliverables.
• Maintain multiple prepayments, accruals, loans, and deferred revenue schedules across the shared services
structure.
• Assist related entities' personnel regarding financial reports, taxes, and other items as needed.
• Provide support to ensure effective and efficient operations of the accounting team and perform other
related duties as needed.
• Additional projects and assignments as requested.
• Prepare complex balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with the year-end external audit.
• Conduct research and advise payroll staff concerning procedures for complex transactions.
• Maintain accounting controls by adhering to and enforcing internal controls.
• Collaborate and oversee GL activity and by other departments such as AP, AR, etc., and keep track of the closing. Shows leadership to accomplish deliverables and deadlines.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required
• 4-6 years of experience in accounting, similar role and functions. Required
• 1-3 years of experience managing and supervising staff. Preferred
• 1-3 years of Oracle ERP software required and
• 1-3 years of experience in a multi-organization environment Preferred
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) (High proficiency)
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
